Sometimes a plugin or an off-the-shelf app gets you most of the way there, but not quite. A custom system is built for exactly what your business does, from a price calculator on your website to a full members area.
Everything is designed and coded in-house by the person you speak to, so nothing gets lost between a sales team and a developer. It sits inside your website, in your branding, and can grow as your business does.
You don’t need a technical spec. Tell us how the job works now, the spreadsheets, the emails back and forth, the bits you do by hand, and we’ll work out what the system needs to do. You’ll get a fixed price before any work starts and see it working before it goes live.

Everything you need to know before having a custom system built.
(01) What Counts As A Custom System?
Anything your website needs to do that a normal page can’t. That could be a price calculator, a quote or product builder, a search tool, a booking flow, a members area or a dashboard for your own staff.
If you’re doing something by hand every day, like copying details from emails into a spreadsheet or writing out the same quote again and again, there’s a good chance it can be turned into a system that does it for you.
Some of the systems we build most often are quote and price calculators, customer portals, document management systems, learning management systems and membership and login areas.
(02) Can You Add It To My Existing Website?
Usually, yes, if it’s a website we build or host. The system is added to the site you already have, in the same branding, so your customers won’t see a join.
If your website is hosted somewhere else, get in touch and tell us what it’s built on. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be added there or whether it makes more sense to move the site over first.
(03) How Long Does It Take?
A simple price calculator or form usually takes one to two weeks. Bigger systems, like a members area with payments or a full product builder, are more like four to eight weeks.
Before anything starts, you’ll get a timescale along with the fixed price, and you’ll see it working on a test version before it goes live. Larger builds can go live in stages, so you start getting the benefit sooner.
(04) Can It Grow Later?
Yes. Because the system is built for your business and not bought off the shelf, new features can be added when you need them, without starting again.
Plenty of our systems started small. A calculator can grow into full online quotes, and a members area can add paid memberships or a forum later on. We plan the first version with that in mind, so adding to it later is quicker and cheaper.
(05) How Much Does It Cost?
Every system is priced on its own, because a simple price calculator is a very different job to a full members area. Once we’ve talked through what you need, you’ll get a fixed price before any work starts, so you know exactly what you’re paying and there are no surprise extras. If the budget is tight, we can often build it in stages.
(06) Who Looks After It Afterwards?
We do. If your website is hosted with us, the system is looked after along with the rest of your site. We keep it updated, check it still works when the services it connects to change, and make changes whenever you need them. If your website is hosted elsewhere, we can still look after it for you, we’ll just need access to the site.
