Website Design For Subscription Platforms

Subscription Platform Design

Creators, coaches and experts are moving their paid content off other people’s platforms and onto their own. A platform can change its rules, raise its fees or close an account overnight. Your own subscription website keeps your subscribers, your content and your income in one place you control, and you keep far more of every payment.

InfaCloud designs and builds subscription websites where members pay monthly or yearly to unlock your content: videos, courses, downloads, live sessions or a community. Payments are taken automatically, access opens and closes on its own, and you can see who’s subscribed at a glance.

How We Build Subscription Websites

We start with what you’re selling and how people should pay for it: one plan or several tiers, monthly or yearly, a free trial or a one-off fee. Then we plan which content sits behind which plan, and what a member sees when they log in.

We design the site in your branding, build the members area and payments, add your first content and test the whole journey, from signing up to cancelling. After launch we host it, keep it updated and help you add new plans and features as you grow.

Recurring Payments, Members Areas And Paid Content

Subscribers pay by card through Stripe, or by Direct Debit through GoCardless, and renewals happen automatically. If a payment fails, the site emails the member and only closes their access when it should. Members get their own account to see what they’ve bought, change their plan or cancel.

Behind the login we can build video libraries, online courses with progress tracking, downloads, live session bookings, forums and private feeds. If you’re a content creator looking for your own OnlyFans-style site, see our page on websites for content creators.

Why Creators Choose InfaCloud

Subscription sites have a lot of moving parts. Payments, access rules, emails and content all have to agree with each other every single day. We build and host them ourselves and keep an eye on them, so when a payment provider changes something, we deal with it.

We built The Scruffy Trader‘s site, where members buy a 53-module video course, book paid 1-2-1 sessions and download trading tools, all from one account.

For The FED Foundation we built a members area where parents, schools and healthcare professionals each get their own videos and documents, paid for by Direct Debit. Running a club or charity? See membership and login areas.

Subscription Website Questions

Thinking about moving your paid content onto your own website? These are the questions we get asked most.

Yes, for your own content or your own niche. We build the parts that matter: sign-up, recurring payments, members-only content and accounts. What you won’t have is a platform taking a share of every subscription.

Usually Stripe for cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and GoCardless for Direct Debit. We’ve built both: The Scruffy Trader takes payments through Stripe and The FED Foundation takes yearly memberships by Direct Debit.

The payment provider retries the payment and the site emails the member to update their details. You choose how long they keep access, and the site closes it automatically if the payment still isn’t made.

Yes. You can sell a course as a one-off purchase, include it in a subscription, or both. The Scruffy Trader sells a 53-module video course alongside bookings and downloads.

Yes. Members can manage their plan from their account, which keeps things fair and saves you admin. You get an email whenever someone cancels. You can also offer a pause option or a cheaper plan before they leave, which often keeps members who would otherwise cancel.

You do. Your members, their email addresses and your content all belong to you, and so does the site. If you ever move it elsewhere, we’ll hand everything over. Your subscriber list can be exported at any time, so you’re never tied to us or to a platform to reach your own members.
