The Project
Pleasures in Kent needed to verify every new member's identity properly, quickly and without putting anyone's personal documents at risk.
Pleasures in Kent is a private, adults-only members' club near Maidstone. Every member has to be identity-checked before joining.
They asked us for a secure way to enrol members, either in person with staff or remotely from an invite link, and to store identity documents safely.
We designed and built a bespoke Member Verification Portal for WordPress. New members follow a simple step-by-step wizard: their details, a face photo, three identity documents and a signed consent record. It takes about three minutes on a phone.
Security was built in from the start. Every document, photo and signature is encrypted at rest (AES-256), the staff area only works from UK connections, invite links expire automatically, and staff get a searchable roster of verified members.
The club now verifies members digitally, in person or remotely, with sensitive documents encrypted and kept away from prying eyes. The portal is custom-built, so it does exactly what the club needs and nothing more.
