The Project
Bristol & Avon Windscreens wanted booking a repair to feel as easy as the big national brands, starting with nothing more than a number plate.
Bristol & Avon Windscreens provides mobile windscreen repair and replacement across Bristol and the surrounding areas, backed by more than 30 years' experience.
They wanted a new bespoke website, and above all a booking form that works like the national windscreen brands: the customer types in their registration, the site recognises the vehicle, and the enquiry arrives with everything the team needs.
We designed and built a bespoke website around a number-plate booking wizard that sits in the homepage hero. The customer enters their reg, and our custom integration with the UK government's vehicle data (the DVSA MOT History API, with DVLA support built in) looks the car up and asks them to confirm the make, model and year.
The wizard then walks them through their details and the damage, step by step, and every enquiry is stored and emailed to the team. It's rate-limited to stop abuse, and the data provider can be switched without rebuilding anything.
Customers can now book a windscreen repair starting from just their number plate, and the team receives complete, accurate vehicle details with every enquiry. InfaCloud built, hosts and maintains the site and the integration.
